PORET is, from my own definition, is an attitude of busybody,or a desire of craving to know what happens around him/her which doesn't have much to do with him/her. Another definition is driving your busybodiness around while spilling them out.
I think so. Pendek kata, PORET = busybody.
Reading news could fall under this PORET category but still, news are important craps that
we have to pretend to know so we won't be seen like katak bawah tempurung.
But when it comes to a point where you want and like to know everybody's bussiness, then you're
definitely one of them.
The common symptoms to know you're one of them:
1 You're favourite phrase is "What? What happened?"
2 You're not satisfied if you can't get someone with a story to tell everybody else.
3 It's fun to know something not really important.
4 You usually ask people again and again about a useless thing but you'd like to hear.
5 You're not cool.
Still it doesn't mean you have to shut your life and kill yourself because you don't
wanna know anything around you. Rational is my point here. Moderate is logical.
How to get rid of PORETs?
1 Shrug off whenever a story is told.
2 Be ignorant in proper way.
3 Masuk telinga kanan, keluar telinga kiri. (This peribahasa is not only applicable to what your
teacher or lecturer is saying in front)
4 Layan jak lah.
